Reflective pendants are evolving from functional safety products to trendy cultural and creative items that combine practicality and aesthetics. Recently, the Palace Museum, the Sanxingdui Ruins, and the West Lake Scenic Area have all launched co-branded reflective pendants, incorporating cultural relics, regional elements, and luminous materials. These pendants serve as delicate ornaments by day and illuminate cultural heritage at night.
Data from an e-commerce platform shows that during the 2025 "Double 11" shopping festival, sales of cultural and creative reflective pendants increased nearly threefold year-on-year, with young people being the primary consumer group. "They're safe, commemorative, and a stylish gift for friends," said one buyer.
Analysts in the cultural and tourism industry believe that reflective pendants, with their low cost, portability, and wide range of uses, are becoming "portable cultural symbols" and may become a standard souvenir item for scenic spots in the future.
